An entry about circular vests, both crochet, knitting or sewing. Are they in or out, are they hot or not? Well, who cares!

Wether they're trending or old news; the internet does not forget. If you search google or pinterest or whatever medium you'd like to use, for crochet vest, knitting afghan, granny's, flowers or circles; you come across this marvel of creativity. Those pictures or tutorials and patterns may be a week old or three years old, but they are still abundantly represented in the creative corners of the internet.

And why not? They're pretty basic but can be made as difficult and intricate as you'd like, there's patterns for both beginners and experts, knitters, sewers and crocheting folk, the possible variations in colour conbinations are endless, and should you not find a pattern you like or fit; make your own! Make a circle, cut or leave out two holes just above the center fold for your arms at back width, and tadam! A vest is born. I don't care if they're old or not; they're amazing!

It won't be a suprise to you that I am in fact making one myself right now. Why I haven't up till now, I don't know. I've started with a simple granny-circle with straight up sleeves, but I'd love to try one with more flowery and lacy patterns, or one with snowflakes! Then again, I'd love to do a gazillion projects, and have about half that amount of ongoing projects lying around, waiting to be finished...

Anyway; Circles are awesome, don't ever hold back from making something just because it's not 'hip' or whatever, and create whatever you feel like!

I recently came to notice that my last journal entry was over 4 months ago! It was about Halloween and Christmas, and let's face it; it's been Easter already >.< So, time for an update.

It's been quiet for quite a while, I know. I've been busy with my thesis, the last step I have to take in order to get my masters degree. It's going well enough (though that entirely depends on what minute of the day you ask me, this right now being a good minute) and I hope to turn it in the beginning of june. After that it's waiting for the people who get paid to do that to read it and tell me I'm awesome, or how to make my thesis more awesome, and then I can go and get that silly paper saying I'm smart somewhere in the second half of august. That is the planning at least.

Anyway; this all means that I haven't been baking, like, at all, which I find weird as baking and cooking have always been soothing to me unless stuff went horribly wrong. And what could go wrong with simple cupcakes? But I'm big enough of a neurotic knit-wit to be afraid that the time spent in the kitchen will cost me as it's really time I had to be spending behind piles and piles of paper and a computer screen. Having said that; I'm squeezing out sweaters, vests, baskets, flowers, eggs, bunnies, skirts, cowls and what not's as I can't just sit and watch a show in my breaks; I have to give my hands something to do while doing absolutely nothing. Hence the knitting and crocheting.

Aside from the immense amount of yarn I'm rushing through (though like books; I buy it quicker than I can use it), I've also run trough 1,5 laser printer ink-cartridge, over 1500 of sheets of paper, and I want to point out that when I copy or print something I need to read and defile with my marker, I print it double sided, with two pages per side... The rainforest must hate me by now.

And I'm going to make it hate me some more, as I'm adding some info to chapter three, and I won't read all the articles I need from my screen. So off to the printer again it is!

As you may know, I love halloween. I threw a halloweeny birthdayparty again this year, though a tad smaller and more low budget than last year, as now I've got to pay for it all myself XD And I didn't have as much time to bake and cook and fumble like last year. But we had a great time playing twister and chating about everything and anything, so I'd say it was a succes again.

And now it's time for all things Christmas! Although I've started making tree decorations way back in july already, now I'm really working on it full time (as far as full time goes beside studying and thesis writing and a house hold and work and another job and my boyfriend and ... well living, but you get the gist).

So brace yourself; Christmas decorations are coming...

my boyfriend asked me for cosplayideas, about a year ago. he hasnt come up with anything yet, nor aproved of anything i sugested. so my question to you all; what male glassed characters do you know? no lenses, wigs are ok but hes hot shoulderlength Brown blonde-ish hair, and woont dye it. all ideas are welcome, kigus included. thanks!
